Why not give yourself a chance with your New Year’s Resolution this year?
Select a simple, easily achievable goal. Choose something that you have to do, but you’ve been putting off.
Once you’ve accomplished it, select another one.
Build some momentum… get on a roll… see where it takes you.
In some respects the arrival of the New Year will offer an opportunity to start anew, to set fresh goals and to look to the future.
As new projects are launched, January becomes a critical month in setting the direction, building the foundations… defining and communicating the “Why” and the “What”.
In doing so, we must learn from the past. Yes, it’s a new start, but we must avoid falling into the same old traps, negotiate common pitfalls, understand previous bright spots and further develop winning strategies.
For many, the Festive Period will offer time for introspection. Time to reflect on the past and to dream about the future. Time away from the daily routine. Time for new perspectives. Down time.
Don’t miss the opportunities that January offers, or the potential of the New Year. Take advantage of the time you have to prepare. Allow yourself to start as you mean to go on… with purpose and a clear direction.
